Karen Renaud, LMT, BCMT, AAS

State Licensed & Board Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner

Karen completed the certificate training program in massage therapy (2006) at Oakland Community College (OCC) and later graduated with an Associate Degree in Applied Science-Massage Therapy.

During her internship through OCC, Karen trained at North Oakland Medical Center in the physical therapy department.

She has also successfully passed the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork and is now Board Certified. Karen is an active member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals.

Karen was a massage mentor at OCC from 2006 to 2017.

In 2014, Karen acquired her massage therapy license through the State of Michigan.

After contracting with Dawn Nail Spa and Waterford Mott Pool and Fitness Center for over 9 years, Karen decided to open up her own practice at the Miller Building, 3513 Elizabeth Lake Road, Suite 218, (Cass Lake Road entrance) in Waterford.

She is currently pursuing continuing education in various areas of massage therapy and has been in practice over 10 years.

Karen specializes in working with office staff. After working at a desk for over 25 years, she's learned the specific areas that need to be addressed to ease work-related issues such as tension headaches, and neck and shoulder pain.

In 2019, Karen completed Reiki Levels 1 and 2 from Reiki Master/Teacher, Lisa Powers. She is currently upgrading her knowledge in this area. She’s added Reiki to her studio and offers either onsite or distance sessions to clients. 

Karen's main purpose is working on body, mind, and spirit to relieve stress, pain, and increase your body's own natural ability to heal.

She enjoys her work very much and helping people get relief.

Karen lives in Waterford, Michigan. She enjoys crocheting, bowling, and vintage television shows.
